PSA Director Testifies to Improve Post-Arrest Process
PSA Director Cliff Keenan was invited by the DC Council’s Judiciary Committee to offer testimony regarding Bill 20-323, the Post-Arrest Process Clarification Amendment Act of 2013. This proposed legislation is the outgrowth of a study undertaken by a Council for Court Excellence (CCE) committee looking at the post-arrest processing of arrestees within DC. The proposed legislation is intended to enhance that process and thereby further PSA’s mission of promoting pretrial justice. Mr. Keenan is a CCE board member and chair of the committee issuing the report. His testimony before the DC Council is offered as Director of PSA.
